Developmental Pathway

HappyFeet strives to provide young children with a developmentally appropriate soccer and fitness experience. Our imagination-based curriculum is exciting and engaging and helps children learn basic soccer skills, develop physical fitness, and enhance social and emotional skills. Our approach to teaching soccer accommodates and respects the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional characteristics common during early childhood. A summary of this information is provided in the table below. While this information serves as a guide for the content of Happyfeet classes, we understand that children develop and learn at different rates, so coaches adapt their activities based on the unique personalities and skill levels of children in each class. By progressing through our age-appropriate curriculum, your child will build a solid foundation that we hope will lead to lifelong involvement in sports, fitness, and soccer!  The focus in each of our HappyFeet age groups is below.
